The winery’s iconic rosé, made with high-altitude grapes. The wine from the Pla de Manlleu area is now presented in a Burgundy-style bottle. The new vintages of Gaia and Garnatxa Blanca are also available.
The Loxarel winery has already released the new 2022 vintages of its wines Petit Arnau, Gaia, and Garnatxa Blanca. Additionally, Petit Arnau has undergone a rebranding: it is now presented in a Burgundy-style bottle to unify the winery’s still wine line, and the label has been redesigned to fit the new packaging and enhance its visibility.
Petit Arnau is a rosé wine made from Garnacha and Merlot grapes grown in Loxarel’s high-altitude vineyards in the Pla de Manlleu area. Specifically, the vineyards where these grapes come from are located on the former football field of the Templar village of Selma, where the soil is predominantly red clay.
It is made using very short macerations with the skins to achieve a pale pink color that adds elegance and uniqueness. On both the palate and the nose, it is highly floral, with predominant red fruit aromas and the characteristic sweet notes of black fruit contributed by the Garnacha. The high-altitude vineyards provide freshness and excellent acidity.
